John Rollins is a retired Episcopal priest.
He was born on January 8, 1942 at home in Watopa Township, Wabasha County, Minnesota, son of Leonard H. and Louise A. (Schleicher) Rollins.
He attended Wabasha High School, Wabasha, Minnesota, graduating as Salutatorian in 1960; Hamline University, St. Paul, Minnesota, graduating with B.A. in 1964; Drew University Theological School, Madison, New Jersey, graduating with the M.Div in 1968; and attended General Theological Seminary, New York, New York, 1968-69.
He was ordained Deacon on March 26, 1969, and Priest on August 3, 1969 in the Episcopal Church, Diocese of Newark. He served as Curate at Grace Episcopal Church, Madison, New Jersey from 1969 through 1974, and Rector of Christ Episcopal Church, Pompton Lakes, New Jersey from 1974 through 2007.
He began doing web work in 1996, originally creating the Christ Church parish website. In 1997 he helped create the first General Convention website and later helped develop the website for the Diocese of Newark. In 1998 he co-managed the Lambeth Conference website and he began serving as Managing Editor for the Episcopal Church’s national website. He opened his own business — JARdigitalworks — and took on a number of clients including the Diocese of Oregon, the Diocese of Long Island, the Mercer Memorial School of Theology, and a number of parish websites.
Upon his retirement he continued to service many of these clients and helped some find their way to other Content Management systems.
